Early Spring Revisited
Early Spring is one of the songs I wrote with my mates at Coke In My Pocket way back in my teenage years. Now, past the quarter-life mark, I decided to revisit once again. To see what has changed after chaotic nights.
The last sound of the exploding bombs was many moons ago.
Yet, the eerie sounds of dying sirens are still there.
Haunting.
Daunting as it seems.
We’re still unable to speak.
We forget how to speak after so many years.
Eyesight became our primary communication tool.
Gazing into your eyes to find what you feel.
Motivated by emotions.
Our movements were never dull.
Only struggle by lack of food with a lifetime supply of wine(s)
Yet our souls never wavered.
Come by in the early spring.
And nothing has changed.
Everything stays the same.
The same ever since you flew to the sun on that day.
